Here are a few of my favorite recipes I thought I would share with you. If there is anything you do not understand or if you need further instructions...please feel free to e-mail me and ask. I will be more than glad to help you.



CABBAGE ROLLS
I pound Ground Beef
1 pound sausage
1 cup uncooked rice
1-2 med.sized chopped onions
1/2-1 chopped green pepper
salt to taste
1 large head of cabbage
mix all ingredients together with hands while steaming cabbage leaves in a large pot after cutting around the core before putting into the water. After the leaves are wilted take amounts of meat mixture and place into the leaves and wrap holding together with toothpicks. Put all the cabbage rolls into a large pot and cover all with tomato juice...usually takes 2 large cans. Bring to a simmer and continue simmering for 3-4 hours.



POTATO CASSEROLE
1 STICK OLEO
10 OZ GRATED CHEDDER CHEESE
1 CAN CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP
1 ½ CUPS CORN FLAKES
1 2LB. BAG FROZEN HASH BROWNS
1 SM. CARTON SOUR CREAM
Melt oleo & mix ½ with hash browns, cheese, sour cream & soup. Spread in 9-13 inch pan. Mix rest of oleo with corn flakes. sprinkle on top of potatoes. Bake at 300 for 11/2 hours.



CABBAGE SOUP
1 pd. grnd. beef
1 can kidney beans
4 beef boullion cubes.
½ tsp. garlic pdr.
½ med. head cabbage
2 celery stalks
chp parsley
28 oz chp tomatoes & can water
In dutch oven brown ground beef & add all remaining ingredients except parsley. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for one hour. You can add a pk. of ramen noodles & garnish with parskey and you can also use cheddr, cheese elbow maccaroni or chili powder to taste. This freezes well.



SAUSAGE/POTATO CASSEROLE
1 POUND SAUSAGE
1 CAN CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP
¾ CUP MILK
¼ CUP CHOPPED ONION
½ TEASPOON SALT
¼ TEASPOON PEPPER
3 CPS THNLY SLIC PEEL POTATOES
4 OZ SHREDDED CHEDDER
in a large skillet cook sausage til no pink appears---drain throughly. In a bowl combine soup milk & onion salt & pepper. In an ungreased 11-7-2 inch baking dish, layer ½ the potatoes, soup mixture and sausage--repeat--cover & bake at 350 for 1 ½ hours. uncover & sprinkle with cheese, return to oven about 5 minutes.



FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE
1 #303 can fruit cocktail
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg
Mix ingredients in order. Bake in 9-13 inch pan at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
TOPPING for CAKE
1 stick oleo
½ cup canned milk
½ cup coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup nuts
1 cup sugar
combine and cook for 10 minutes or until thick. Pour over cake that has slightly cooled.
